Policy Advocacy

CABC members drive our policy advocacy platform.

We shape advocacy priorities around what members tell us their communities need.

There is still time to participate in our current advocacy survey, which we launched in May 2021. Once the survey closes, we will unveil our policy platform.

So far, this is the direction we are receiving:

  • CABC should focus advocacy to get and keep people housed, with priority on income supporting strategies like direct cash, rental assistance, and foreclosure prevention.
  • Strategies that increase income, provide safe financial services, and support financially healthy youth are critical in both the short and long-term.
  • In a just economy, previously exploited communities will have both wealth and health, secure and affordable housing, and satisfying, well-paying employment, including self-employment.
